Designating a Gift

If everyone earmarked their gifts for the emergency shelter, that program would likely have excess funds while other important services would suffer. We encourage donors to allow United Way to re-distribute their gifts among more than 40 worthwhile programs, helping to ensure that critical needs are met. 

However, you may designate a gift of $25 or more to be used for a specific agency partner, or to a United Way in a different city or county. Likewise, you may ask that your gift not be used to support a particular agency.
