How I Live United

Kerr_Web_-_Small.JPG

My Name is Kerr.

Volunteering has become a way of life since my retirement in 2001. Volunteering with various non-profits, like Habitat for Humanity and our church youth group allows me the opportunity to improve life for those who are less fortunate. And as a bonus, I get to spend quality time with people I love and care about.

I Don't Just Wear The Shirt,

I Live It!

Application Instructions

The United Way of Marion County sets aside money each year to help those Scouts and their families that would otherwise struggle to participate in general scouting activities or summer camp.

This application is a very brief 2 page form. The application provides information on the family making the request and how the money will be used. The committee report page asks for a pledge to complete community service in return for the scholarship and some information on how the scholarship will impact the Scout's life.

Both forms must be completed by a parent or other family member. It is very important that you fill them out as completely and accurately as possible. The application will not be reviewed unless it is complete.

Return the form to your unite leader. He or she must approve it before forwarding it on to the United Way of Marion County office for review by the Scouting volunteers on the Schlorship Committee.

The funding is limited and will be granted on a first come first serve basis.

Unit Leader:

  1. Review and sign the completed form if you find it to be appropriate. Make sure you have both forms and that they are filled out completely.
  2. Mail, fax or take the completed and signed form to:
