How I Live United

Kerr_Web_-_Small.JPG

My Name is Kerr.

Volunteering has become a way of life since my retirement in 2001. Volunteering with various non-profits, like Habitat for Humanity and our church youth group allows me the opportunity to improve life for those who are less fortunate. And as a bonus, I get to spend quality time with people I love and care about.

I Don't Just Wear The Shirt,

I Live It!

How You Can Contribute

Many employers offer the option to pledge through payroll deduction. Most people find that’s an easy way to give more, but miss it less. Some employers may offer to match all or a portion of your gift. You may also pay your pledge in convenient installments. Ask United Way to send quarterly, semiannual or annual reminder notices. Or, make your pledge with a major credit or debit card.* Any of these methods can help you fit pledge payments into your budget.

Pledges may be mailed or dropped off at:

United Way of Marion County
125 Executive Drive, Suite 100
Marion, OH  43302-6302

Our pledge cards provide blanks for credit/debit card information, if you wish to use that method of payment. You may also call the United Way office at (740) 383-3108 and a staff member can complete a credit/debit card gift form for you over the phone.

If you wish to give shares of stock or mutual funds, please call our office manager at (740) 383-3108 to provide details regarding the transfer.

United Way of Marion County also accepts in-kind gifts, such as office equipment, office furniture, supplies and many other items. Typically, we work to match in-kind donors with United Way Agency Partners or other non-profit organizations in the community who can put the materials to use.

* For gifts of $25 or more.
